Stand firm in the Lord. This is not the only time Paul talks to us about the importance of standing firm. He discusses this in several other books including Galatians. Paul is not wanting us to go out and fight the Christian fight. What he’s asking us to do is to stand firm on the Christian principles and the truths of who Christ is. We don’t need to fight the fight, God has already done that. He’s the one who fights. We are expected to stand firm on his truth.

How does that change the way we live to day, knowing that we don’t have to fight for him? We need to stand, and to stand firm on the truth of what God’s word says. We are to love people, but we cannot compromise the truth that God gives us through his word. Have you made any compromises? Where do you need to repent in your life and go back to standing firm?
