Devotional – October 27, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 97:7–Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images, who boast themselves of idols; worship Him, all you gods.

TRUTH:
Do we give anything a higher priority than God? Anything we place above God has become an idol and can include such things as money, security, popularity, or success, among many others. These things are not wrong, but pursuing them above God will lead to our shame. All these other things will eventually bow down and worship the one true God.

RESPONSE:
Lord, let nothing come between me and You. I want to love and serve You only.
