Read 1 John chapter 1 VERSE: 1 John 1:8–If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. TRUTH: “I’m not so bad, there are plenty of people around who do worse things than I do.” I’ve said this before, have you? It’s a lie, pure and simple. We are all sinners in need of God’s forgiveness and grace. If we tell ourselves anything else, we’re lying to ourselves. We must be honest with ourselves about who we are and what we’ve done.
