The Essential Jesus, Day 62

When God moves in our life, do we praise him? Looking at day 62 of the Essential Jesus reading plan on YouVersion.com, we read Luke 5:17-26.

Jesus performs a miracle in the presence of many people. A man who couldn’t walk was brought by his friends to see Jesus. Jesus, touched by their actions, forgives the man’s sins first. Then, because of the concerns and questions that arose in the crowd, Jesus healed his physical body as well. The man got up and left, praising God. God moved in his life. Something dramatic had happened and God showed up in a unique and amazing way for this man. When he saw that, he praised God.

God moves in our lives in so many ways. How do we respond? Do we praise God and lift his name up, telling everyone all that he has done for us? Do we hide it and keep it to ourselves? Would anyone around us know if God is working in our life or not based on what we say about him? We have an amazing story to tell and a phenomenal God to talk about. We have no reason to be silent.
