Leading Through Challenging Circumstances, Day 8

Praise. Read Daniel 2:19-23.

Daniel does exactly what he says he’s going to do. He and all of his friends go and pray to God that God will reveal the answer and give them a way out of the situation they have found themselves in. God does just that. Overnight, God reveals to Daniel exactly what he needs to know to be able to appease the king. When Daniel wakes up and realizes this, he doesn’t jump up and run to the king first. Instead, he takes time and praises God.

This opportunity to praise God is exactly what we miss a lot of times. Growing up in church, I have seen people pray and pray and pray for things to happen or situations to change, and when God works in amazing and fantastic ways, we see those people get truly excited. But, I don’t always see them take time to stop and praise and worship God for what he has done.

Are we praising and worshiping God? In our lives, he has worked and moved in so many ways, and he deserves the glory and the praise for what he has done. Without him, we would have nothing. Do we lift up and praise God? What do you need to praise him for in your life today?
