Read Matthew chapter 3

VERSE:

Matthew 3:6–Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

TRUTH:

Baptism does not save us. Confessing our sins to God is what God desires. As we confess our sins and repent to God, then God saves us through Jesus Christ. We are baptized as a testimony of the work God has already done in our life. Have we come to the place where we have made a personal decision to confess our sins to God? Have we made that decision public in order to testify to the world what God has done in our lives?

RESPONSE:

Father, You have offered forgiveness when we confess our sins. Thank You for Your salvation. Your baptism is a wonderful example of how I can testify to the world that I belong in You.
