Christian Devotional – August 6, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 45:23–I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

TRUTH:
God swears by Himself because there is nothing higher or greater. He knows that at some point every knee will bow and tongue confess His glory because there will come a point when His full glory will be revealed to all people. Once we see God in His full glory, we will recognize the power and awesomeness of who He is.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I know that You are greater than I can even fathom in my mind. I pray that my words and deeds today will reflect a heart that is bowed down to You.
