Christian Devotional – September 24, 2016

Read Romans chapter 8

VERSE:

Romans 8:18–I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that revealed in us.

TRUTH:

No matter what we are going through and no matter how difficult we are experiencing things, nothing we go through will even begin to compare with the glory that will be revealed in us through Jesus Christ. When we see Him face to face and we are able to understand His purpose for everything, we will have no doubt of the glory that God received as a result of all that we went through. The little minor sufferings that we experience won’t begin to compare. Even those brave believers who are suffering and experiencing true Christian persecution in other countries at the hands of political and religious extremists understand that what they are going through now is nothing compared to the glory of God that will be revealed in them. May we all be that bold and that courageous and that mindful of the truth of who Christ is and His power in and through us, regardless of the circumstances.

RESPONSE:

Father, I need Your boldness to share and to lead others to You. I know that no matter what I go through, I desire for You to be glorified above everything else. Keep me focused on Your glory, for then I realize that nothing else in this world matters as much as that.
