Christian Devotional – May 1, 2018

When we experience difficulties, what are we looking for? When the psalmist wrote chapter 61, he was experiencing hard times and explained that hewas looking for the rock that is higher than he is. See Psalm 61.

From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

We are not strong enough to fix every problem that we face. We’re need the stability of the rock in our lives. Only as we cling to the rock will we never move and never falter. Only the rock is strong enough to take the abuse that this world deals out. We can be faint, but the rock is our strength. Are we clinging to the rock of Jesus Christ in our lives?
