Christian Devotional – September 19, 2018

Who is Jesus Christ? We’ve spent months going through the Psalms, reading about praising God. We’re moving over to the New Testament to the book of Hebrews to better understand who we are to be praising. Read through Hebrews chapter 1.

And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Hebrews 1:3

This verse lists so many amazing attributes of Jesus Christ. As the writer starts through Hebrews, he wants the reader to understand that, first and foremost, Jesus Christ is who he says he is. He is the Son of God. He is radiant in his glory. He upholds everything that he says he will uphold and he does it through the power of his word. He made the path to God for us by paying for the purification of sin. And when he had done this, he sat down at the right hand of God because he was worthy to do so. Looking at and understanding who Jesus Christ is, is the foundation of understanding how we can be made right with God. Do you know who Jesus Christ really is?
