VERSE:
Colossians 3:13–bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.
TRUTH:
God has offered forgiveness to us through His Son Jesus Christ. Because He has forgiven us, we can forgive others. While this is true about non-Christians, this verse is referring to our relationship with other believers. This verse seems to imply that we will have an opportunity to practice this. We will have other Christians in our life who hurt us, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Do we have a fellow Christian we need to forgive?
RESPONSE:
Lord, through Your sacrifice, those of us who believe in You are brothers and sisters. Lord, help me to forgive in situations where my fellow Christians have wronged me, just as You forgave me.
