God does great wonders. He does amazing things that I don’t understand and can’t explain. See Psalm 136. Sometimes they feel hard and difficult. But He is great and so the things that He does are great. Are we expecting great things from him? Do we seek after Him and give Him praise for what He does and is doing?

What is God doing? I know I’ve asked that question on several occasions. God and I have had long talks about what in the world he is doing 🙂 Still, God is not randomly choosing to do some things and to avoid others. They are all part of his grand plan and design. Who are all the overnight workers? It can be a difficult and sometimes thankless role to work overnight. Yet, in many cases it is of vital importance to the things that get done during the day. Unity. Such a small little word with amazingly huge potential. Also, it is amazingly difficult at times. See what the psalmist says in Psalm 133. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalms 133:1 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.133.1.NASB It is most certainly good and pleasant, it’s just not easy. Having unity means being intentional about actions, words, everything. Unity doesn’t just happen, it is created by the focus of all the individuals involved. Are we intentionally seeking unity in our relationships? Are we seeking unity based of the truth of Jesus Christ?

Do we get excited about praising and worshipping the Lord? We have an amazing opportunity to do so and the psalmist knew it. See what is written in Psalm 132. Let us go into His dwelling place; Let us worship at His footstool. Psalms 132:7 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.132.7.NASB There is great praise and desire to go into the presence of God. When we have that opportunity, do we get as excited about it as the psalmist did? God is the Creator of the world and we have a chance to come into his presence and worship him. Do we look forward to this opportunity?

Child-like faith is a subject that is frequently talked about in the Bible. But what does that look like? See Psalm 131. O Lord , my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty; Nor do I involve myself in great matters, Or in things too difficult for me. I stink at waiting. I really do want what I want when I want it. The idea that I may have that wait just seems like purposeless time wasting. But then I read Psalm 130. Some days I catch myself wondering if the trials and difficulties ever end. Are there days when it’s easy? I’m sure the psalmist felt that way when he wrote Psalm 129. “Many times they have persecuted me from my youth up; Yet they have not prevailed against me. Psalms 129:2 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.129.2.NASB It can feel like we are only ever under attack. It can feel that we are all alone facing these times, but we’re not. God is with us and He is the one who continues to strengthen us and help us to stand firm in the face of difficulties. Are we standing strong in Him today?

Want blessings in your life? How do we understand what God desires from us in order to receive blessing? Read Psalm 128. How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord , Who walks in His ways. It doesn’t say what that blessing looks like, so we often miss it thinking it is going to be some “thing” that we receive. Instead, the blessing of fearing the Lord and walking in His ways is that we have the Lord. Anything else above that is just icing on the cake.

Why do we work so hard and push ourselves so hard? The reason behind that is important to understand because God is the one who is to be working hard. See Psalm 127.
