Read Acts chapter 25

VERSE:

Acts 25:19–Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive.

TRUTH:

Festus, the new Roman official in the area was trying to sum up why Paul was in his prison. When he took office, Paul was already in prison and now he was trying to figure out what to do with him. The problem was that he couldn’t figure out why all the Jews were so angry with Paul. He describes the dispute in the above verse. The fact of the matter is that those who are not believers in Christ will not understand and it will all seem foolishness to them. There was this man, Jesus, and he was killed, but now they say he is alive again. This is the heart of the gospel and the reason why it is so difficult for so many to understand and believe in. At the end, it all comes down to what a person believes is the truth about Jesus. What do you believe about Jesus?

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that You came and that Jesus lived and was crucified and was raised up alive again on the third day. However, this is difficult for so many to believe and understand. Please help me to understand and to live out this truth so that others may see and believe in You.
