Christian Devotional – August 2, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 41:10–‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look around, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’

TRUTH:
God has given us this promise. He is with us, He is our God, and He will strengthen and uphold us. Because of this, we don’t have to fear or have anxiety about any situation or trial we face. God is with us. He will give us strength. Why? He is righteous and able to stand through anything and so are we when we place our trust in Him.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I confess that I don’t always wait on You or experience Your strength. I allow myself to be deceived and to feel fear. You are over fear. You are my strength and I will trust in You no matter what comes up today.
