ADHD Gospel, Day 6

Amazement. Read Mark 2: 6-12.

When we think about God, how do we define what amazes us? God has been doing incredible deeds long before we were aware of God and He will continue to do them long after we have passed away. God is doing incredible acts in other countries that we aren’t aware of, and He works miracles in the hearts and lives of individuals every single day.

The crowd was amazed at what Jesus did. But Jesus did 2 things. He forgave the man his sins and he healed him so he could walk. The crowd was only amazed after Jesus performed the miracle that they could see. God’s ability to forgive our sin is just as much of a miracle as healing a man so that he can walk. Yet, the people didn’t understand that miracle. They couldn’t see it. As a result, they didn’t react the same way to it.

Only we will truly know what God has done in our own hearts and we must understand that every single work of God is just as amazing and miraculous as every other work of God. We can rejoice in everything that God does, even when we don’t understand it, don’t see it, or can’t explain it. We can be completely amazing by all that God does in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Are we rejoicing in the amazing works of God today?
