VERSE:
Isaiah 60:15–Whereas you have been forsaken and hated with no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, a joy from generation to generation.
TRUTH:
Isaiah is speaking God’s words about the city of Jerusalem. The city will be forsaken and yet God will restore it to an everlasting pride. God is capable of complete restoration of anything from the city to our own lives. He takes what is broken and seemingly worthless and makes it a source of glory to Him. Will we allow God to bring restoration to our lives like He will in Jerusalem?
RESPONSE:
Father, some days I feel forsaken and abandoned just like Jerusalem. But I know that You can change me, restore me, and make me a source of joy and pride to You. I will trust You to make that change in me.
