Read Job chapter 18
VERSE:
Job 18:21–Surely such is the dwelling of an evil man; such is the place of one who does not know God.
TRUTH:
As Job’s friends continue to share with him, they start to get angry with him. This latest one indicates that there are consequences to the evil that is done in the world. When people sin and do evil, there are consequences to that. After describing these in detail, Bildad makes this statement. While these statements don’t directly apply to Job, they are important to consider that when we are in rebellion to God, our life is falling apart. We will experience all the things that Bildad describes for “such is the place of one who does not know God.” The question we must ask ourselves is whether we know God or not. Do we know Him and are we trusting in Him?
RESPONSE:
Father, I praise You for giving life meaning and giving rescuing me from this life apart from You. Thank You for creating a way for me to no longer live in the dwelling of evil, but to dwell with You and have You live in me. Thank You for all that You have done in my life.
