Read Job chapter 20
VERSE:
Job 20:20–Surely he will have no respite from his craving; he cannot save himself by his treasure.
TRUTH:
As Job’s friend Zophar speaks, he looks to remind Job of all the consequences that the evil people will face. He explains in this verse that when God starts to judge the evil people, they will not be able to avoid it and won’t be able to buy their way out of it. This is a true statement, it just doesn’t apply to Job. It is important to remember this, though. For there are evil people in the world and people who haven’t submitted to God and this will apply to that person. Have we submitted ourselves to God or are we still waiting on and trusting in ourselves.
RESPONSE:
Father, I thank You that You have given Your grace. I praise You and I pray that You will use me to reach others so that they may not find themselves under Your wrath.
