Christian Devotional – February 18, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 43

VERSE:

Psalm 43:3–Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.

TRUTH:

We all need help to walk this Christian life. The psalmist is asking for light and faithful care that will lead and guide. There can be lots of reasons why we try to “do it ourselves.” Maybe we’ve been hurt by others, or maybe we don’t trust, but the bottom line is that we need other Christians in our life in order to help support, sustain, guide, and correct. Jesus brings us the light through salvation, but we need the fellowship of other believers. We must learn to allow others into our life.

RESPONSE:

Father, I’ve been hurt by others before and I find it difficult to trust. I trust You, for You’ve never let me down. Forgive me for trying to walk alone. Help me learn how to establish trust in my relationships again so that we may support one another to worship You together.
