1 Chronicles 25:6–All these men were under the supervision of their father for the music of the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, lyres, and harps for the ministry at the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthum, and Heron were under the supervision of the king.

God instructed specific people and their families to be in charge of the music at His temple. I enjoy that God loves music. He created music and He desires that we use it as a way to praise Him. Are we using music as a means to praise God? Music should be about God receiving praise, not about our own personal preferences and enjoyment.

Father, You love music. You created a beautiful method of praise when You created music. Please keep me from falling for the temptation to make music all about me and what I like. Instead help me to focus on You and giving praise and glory to You through music.
