Trust. We have seen how much the Pharaoh trusts Joseph with stuff and now we see an example of just how completely Pharaoh trusts Joseph regarding people. Read Genesis 47:1-6.

The land of Egypt is at your disposal; settle your father and your brothers in the best of the land, let them live in the land of Goshen; and if you know any capable men among them, then put them in charge of my livestock.”
Genesis 47:6 NASB

Joseph brings some of his brothers to meet Pharaoh where he learns their occupation and what they are desiring to do here in Egypt. Pharaoh trust Joseph so completely that he tells Joseph that if there are any of his brothers that he would trust or recommend to handle Pharaoh’s flocks then do that.

We have no way of knowing whether Joseph told Pharaoh about the situation that led to his being in Egypt in the first place. But, it would seem logical. Whether he did or not, it is an amazing amount of trust to think that Pharaoh would allow Joseph to choose if his brothers are in charge of his flocks as well.

When we trust God, God works through us and people see that. They may not understand it, but the see the results of it. Whether Pharaoh knew that it was God or not is unknown, but I have to believe that Joseph would have told him about his God. And Pharaoh saw God working and blessing through everything that Joseph touched. Do people trust us and do we, in turn, rely on God to work through us?
