Christian Devotional – January 8, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 8

VERSE:

Psalm 8:2–Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

TRUTH:

God does so many things that seem counter-intuitive to us. In this verse, He talks about building a stronghold and silencing enemies based on the praise of children. We must be very careful to never discount what someone says or does for God as God can use anyone to bring praise and glory to Himself, even children. Do we recognize what a strong and powerful God we have who can use absolutely anyone who comes to Him, even children and infants?

RESPONSE:

Father, You are so great and wonderful and it never ceases to amaze me how You cherish those who praise You. You use the things that are seemingly weak to confound the strong. I will not discount anyone who seeks to praise and glorify You for that person may be the stronghold You use to silence Your enemies.
