Read Proverbs chapter 9

VERSE:

Proverbs 9:9–Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

TRUTH:

How do we respond to instruction? The answer to this questions is actually very telling about ourselves. Those who are wise and desire to be wise are not afraid of correction. They know that is how they learn and grow. Those who are not wise, it says a couple of verses earlier, get angry and insult the person who is trying to teach them. Which person will we be?

RESPONSE:

Father, I desire Your wisdom and I will pay attention and learn from correction that I receive. Give me patience and wisdom to discern between good instruction and bad instruction and the wisdom to apply the good instruction to my life.
