The Gospels through the Summer, Day 52

Fear. If we’re not careful, fear can dictate so many of the actions that we take. Read Luke 8.

We see Jesus continuing his teaching and his ministering to the people he is around through this chapter. So often though, we see people dealing with fear in order to be met by God and ministered to by him. Jesus specifically tells Jarius to not be afraid, but to believe.

How often do we allow the actions that we take to be dictated by fear. Even those who have been Christians a long time believed in Jesus still struggle with fear and uncertainty. We must remember that God is over all of those fears and has conquered every single one. We have no reason to be afraid. We have faith in God. Are we allowing our faith to drive us and move us forward in our relationship with Christ or are we being held back by fear?
