Despair. Elijah had done everything that God had asked him to do and yet he still felt alone. He was honest with God about how he felt. Read 1 Kings 19:10.
He said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord , the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.”

Elijah knows that he has done everything that God asked him and yet he is still feeling worn down and beaten up. He tells God this. Are we honest with God about how we really feel? God knows how we feel anyway, but sometimes we seem to try to hide it from him somehow, or make him think it’s not that big of a deal. We feel how we feel.
Now, our feelings should never impact our knowledge and faith in the truth of who God is and what God does. But, our feelings are very real and sometimes we need to confess them to the Lord and ask him to help us to deal with those feelings. That is where Elijah was. He needed God’s help to address the feelings that he had because he knew that God was bigger than what he felt.
Will we be honest with God and seek him out to help us address our feelings? We rely on the truth of who God is, and then we give our feelings to Lord.
