Christian Devotional – June 17, 2016

Read Micah chapter 2

VERSE:

Micah 2:13–“The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.”

TRUTH:

The prophet here is telling of the coming Messiah who will lead the way to deliverance for the people. Thankfully, Jesus Christ has come and He has led the way of deliverance for all of us who will believe and follow Him. No matter what we are experiencing, Jesus is leading the way. He walks through everything first. There is nothing that we are experiencing that He has not already successfully gone through. I know that times can be difficult and we may have trouble seeing Him, but He is always there and He is always going before us, breaking down the gates and other barriers that are in the path.

RESPONSE:

Father, I feel stuck on a path full of barriers many days, but I know that You are always going before me. I will be able to walk forward every day, knowing that You have taken that step ahead of me. Thank You for giving me the confidence to take the next step, knowing that You are not leading me anywhere that You haven’t gone before.
