Christian Devotional – June 7, 2013

VERSE:

Acts 6:7–So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

TRUTH:

When does God’s word and message spread forth to others? Often it is very similar to the situation in this chapter. A crisis arises. Believers pray and come together. They enact a solution that God gives them through their obedience. God blesses and causes His name to be glorified and others to be drawn to Him. Are we experiencing crisis? God desires to use that to draw people to Himself. Are we seeking Him and His solution so that He will be blessed and glorified and people will be drawn to Him?

RESPONSE:

Father, every situation I go through is an opportunity for You to display Your love and glory to others. Please use me and take me through any situation You desire so that through me You may draw people to You just like You did with the disciples here.
