VERSE:
Hebrews 11:6–And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
TRUTH:
Are we pleasing to God? Unless we are living out faith, the answer is no. What is faith? According to verse 1 of this chapter it is a confident expectation of something that defies logic and reasoning. Are we confidently expecting that we will receive exactly what God has promised us and do our actions and our life show display that confident expectation for all to see? If we are going to please God, we have to have faith that He will do all that He has said He will do. As this verse says, we must believe He exists, but more than that, we must believe that He is going to reward those who are earnestly seeking Him. Does that describe us today?
RESPONSE:
Father, I know that You are true and right and that all You have said will come about in Your timing. I may not understand it, but I am confident that it is true. Thank You for all that You are doing and all that You desire in me. I will be patient, knowing that Your timing is perfect and that You are worthy of my faith.
