Read Deuteronomy chapter 3

VERSE:

Deuteronomy 3:28–But commission Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he will lead this people across and will cause them to inherit the land that you will see.

TRUTH:

Moses wanted to go into the promised land but because of his disobedience, God told him no. Instead, Moses was to appoint Joshua as the leader. Moses must have been so disappointed, yet he was to encourage and strengthen Joshua to do the job that he himself wanted. Do we accept God’s plan even when it is not our own plan? Do we do so joyfully and in a way to encourage and lead others?

RESPONSE:

Father, even when Your plan is not my plan, I will follow. I will do so with joy, trusting that You are in control and I will do my best to encourage those You choose to use.
