Christian Devotional – March 26, 2016

Read Joshua chapter 22

VERSE:

Joshua 22:5–But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

TRUTH:

What are we commanded to do first and foremost? We are to love God. That’s it. There’s no long list of to-dos and requirements that we must fulfill. We are to love God. Now, if we love God, we will want to obey Him and keep His commands and hold fast to Him, but we do those things because we love Him, not out of a sense of duty. Are we loving God today? How do we show Him that love?

RESPONSE:

Father, thank You for all that You have give me and done for me. I love You and I love to show my devotion to You by living out the commands that You have for me. Thank You for loving me in return. I will praise You because I love You!
