The Essential 100, Day 86

With great power comes great responsibility. Even though this statement has been used in multiple comic book references, it’s still very true when it comes to The Bible and the responsibility that leaders have regarding how they are leading others in Christ. Read 1 Timothy 3.

When individuals are given positions of power and leadership and authority in a church or other Christian setting, there is a lot of responsibility that goes with those positions. Leadership positions must maintain a higher standard so that they can continue to point people toward Christ.

Are you in a position of leadership? You can never be perfect, but you can hold yourself to the high standard that Christ holds us to as we are leading others and pointing them toward Christ. How are you pointing people toward Christ today? What level of leadership and responsibility do you need to elevate yourself to today?
