Running the Race – #12

Philippians 2:8 – Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

We saw yesterday how the attitude of Christ was one of humility. Now today, we see just how far that humility would take him. He humbled himself to the point where he was willing to take our punishment and sin upon himself and die on a cross on our behalf.

As we continue to strive to have the same attitude as Christ, the same humility that Christ had, what would that lead us to do? How could we humble ourselves more? What would it look like if we humbled ourselves the way Christ humbled himself? Pride is something that is very prevalent in our society to day and it is an easy trap to fall into. We must continue to seek after the humility of Christ and allow Him to move through us because he is the one who deserves all the glory and praise, not us.
