Christian Devotional – March 9, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 62

VERSE:

Psalm 62:5–Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.

TRUTH:

We have to tell our soul where to find hope, otherwise it will latch on to whatever comes along. True hope and rest come from God, but many other things promise that, so we must consciously decide that we are going to rest and hope in God. Where do we find rest? Do we make a daily, conscious decision to find rest in God? Or are we just floating along finding rest in whatever comes our way?

RESPONSE:

Father, only You provide rest. You are the source of hope and I will decide to hope in You no matter what else comes my way today. I will not be distracted by anything else. My hope is in You.
