Read Daniel chapter 8

VERSE:

Daniel 8:26–The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.

TRUTH:

As believers in Christ, we have been given great words and insight into the future events. We know the information that God’s Word gives us and we have the help of the Holy Spirit to discern the information. We must be careful, however, that we don’t become so obsessed with the future events that we fail to live out Christ’s Word today. We have been given the responsibility to live out today in obedience to God. We must stay focused on our day-to-day actions as well. We can seek to study and understand what God allows of future events, but not at the expense of our obedience today.

RESPONSE:

Father, Your Word is true and I thank You for allowing us to have all of it, even the parts that concern future events. I want to study and understand as much of Your prophecy as I can, but I also want to make sure that I am living out Your Word every single day in my walk with You. Keep me focused on exactly what You would have for me each day.
