Book of Revival, Day 16
What gifts do you bring to God? Read Deuteronomy chapter 16.
Moses is explaining the many holidays that the Jewish people were to celebrate. These holidays are still in celebration among these people today. Interestingly, Moses explains that the people were not to celebrate these holidays by coming to the temple empty-handed. They were to bring a gift to God. That gift should be in proportion to how God had blessed them.
God has allowed us to have so many things and to do so many things. What gift would we bring to the Lord? Are we truly thankful and grateful for everything he has provided for us, and would our gift reflect that to him? Do we come before the father empty-handed? What gifts of self or time or attitude or money do we need to be bringing to him as a way to display our thankfulness for his blessings in our life?
