Christian Devotional – May 9, 2016

Read Daniel chapter 7

VERSE:

Daniel 7:14–He was given authority, glory, and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshipped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

TRUTH:

Daniel has a vision and revelation about the future and he sees one like the son of man who comes and this verse is one of the things that is said about him. Just a beautiful description of Jesus Christ Himself and how He will come in all His glory some day to be enthroned above all and establish his kingdom in all that He has and does. Philippians chapter 2 references this very same idea as do several passages in Revelation. Are we living our life each day from the confident assurance that Jesus is over all things and that He will be revealed to all peoples and nations as the King of Kings in the right time? We serve the King of Kings and we can live in that assurance as we go through each and every day.

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You for all that You do and all that You have done for me. You are truly the King over everything and I look forward to the day when Your glory will be fully revealed to all people here on Earth. Your kingdom is My kingdom and I will live each day in loving service to You.
