30 Days of Thanks, Day 21

God’s indescribable gift. Today as we study through the 30 days of Thanks reading plan from YouVersion.com, we are brought to 2nd Corinthians 9:15. God’s indescribable gift.

When we think about all that God does for us and all the gifts that he gives us, they are indescribable. So often, we end up thinking about God’s gifts as being good and wonderful, and they are, but sometimes when we receive a gift from God we don’t realize how wonderful it is in the moment. It doesn’t feel wonderful, or it doesn’t look wonderful. God’s indescribable gift helps us to understand that we actually can’t always always explain why God gives us the gifts he does. Are we still thankful for everything that God gives us?

God’s gift to me this year has been to wait. And I’m still waiting, but I have learned there is peace in the waiting. There is joy in the patience. I wouldn’t have chosen this gift before, but this is what God had for me and it is indescribable, and wonderful at the same time. What is God giving you?
