Read Job chapter 3

VERSE:

Job 3:23–Why is life given to a man whose way is hidden, whom God has hedged in?

TRUTH:

With everything that happened to Job, the Bible says that Job didn’t sin an what he said. Still, Job spends a lot of time asking “Why?” When we are faced with difficult circumstances, there will always be a part of us that seeks to understand why God has allowed certain things to occur in our life. At times we may see an easy answer, such as they are consequences for our sins. But, other times, there may not be an easy answer and there doesn’t seem to be any purpose for what we are going through. This is where Job is at. He doesn’t see the reason or the purpose for what has happened to him, so he is going back to God with questions. When we are questioning things, God is the perfect person to ask these question of. He hears us and He is ultimately the only one with the answers. Are we bringing our difficult questions to God?

RESPONSE:

Father, there are so many things in this life that I don’t understand and that don’t seem fair or right. I know that You are in control, so I bring my questions to You. I know that I will never understand everything, but I pray that You will continue to consider me and help me to trust You, even when I don’t understand the “why” behind situations.
