Days of Forgiveness, Day 3

The benefits of following the Lord. Read Proverbs 3.

As we read through Proverbs chapter 3, we see many familiar verses that have been quoted by people throughout the years. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Honor the Lord with your wealth. All of these speak to the benefits and rewards that we have as we focus completely on Christ in our lives. As we continue through, we see this verse towards the end and realize that wisdom from God gives us what we need in every situation.

Wisdom allows us to navigate difficult situations with grace and poise. And, God also honors and protects his people and those who are seeking after him. If we are truly seeking to honor him in everything we do, then God will honor and protect us. This doesn’t mean that we won’t experience difficulties and challenges, but that God will allow himself to be honored and glorified through us. God will not allow his name to be dishonored.

As we are pointing people to him, do we recognize the impact that Christ has on our day-to-day life so that we are not ashamed? Will we continue to follow him and put our trust in him, no matter what?
