Christian Devotional – October 5, 2016

Read Daniel chapter 1

VERSE:

Daniel 1:9–Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel.

TRUTH:

Daneil was in a ddificult position, being taken captive in a strange land and being forced to do something that went against God’s command for him. But, God had provided a way. God caused one of the people that were in charge of Daniel to have favor and compassion toward him. When we are in difficult situations, God is still in control and He has the ability to change the way people view us and the attitudes of those around us in order to fulfill His purpose. Do we trust God to take care of us, even in the difficult places of life?

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that You are over ever situation and every person that I am in and You are able to move and work in such a way that You are glorified, using whomever You desire to use in the process. Thank You for choosing to use me and I pray that You will continue to guide me and surround me with people who also want to see Your will done.
