Read 2 Kings chapter 23

VERSE:

2 Kings 23:2–He went up to the temple of the Lord with the people of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets–all the people from the least tot he greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the Lord.

TRUTH:

God’s Word changes people. The people had begun a restoration project and they found a copy of scriptures that had been lost/buried. Many scholars believe it to have been the book of Deuteronomy. Regardless of which book it was, when they read it, they were changed. They realized their sin and they were committed to making it right. They repented. They took action to get rid of all the temptations in the area, things going back all the way to Solomon. Are we looking for a change in our life? Read God’s Word. As we learn it and seek to obey it, we will see our lives changed in ways we could not even imagine.

RESPONSE:

Father, I desire Your change in my life. I will continue to read and study Your Word as I know that You have the answers and change that I need. I praise You and I think You for all that You are doing in my life. I will continue to seek after You and I pray that You will work in me as I diligently read Your Word.
