Christian Devotional – September 23, 2013

VERSE:

Exodus 13:21–By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.

TRUTH:

The Lord brought them out from all that they had known and was leading them to a land they had never seen. He didn’t just give them directions and leave them to find their own way. He walked with them one step at a time, leading them the whole way. God does the same with us today. He has a path and a plan for us, but He doesn’t just leave us to go on our own. He walks with us through every path that He brings us to. We can rely on His presence every step of the way.

RESPONSE:

Father, You are always with me. You know all that is being done and all that You want to take me through. I will trust You and do what is right and You will walk with me as You guide and direct my every step.
