Christian Devotional – September 5, 2016

Read 2 Kings chapter 16

VERSE:

2 Kings 16:4–He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.

TRUTH:

This king took disobedience to a whole new level. He didn’t just offer sacrifices to other gods, he did it in every way possible that he could fine and at every single place that he could fine. As we are seeking to follow and honor God, we must realize that there will be those who are just as committed to disobeying God as we are committed to following and obeying Him. We must continue to pray for this people and show them the love of God and witness to them so that they will have every opportunity to come to know and understand what God can truly do in their life. After all, remember Saul who became Paul in Acts.

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You and I thank You. Help me to be more committed to You each and every day. I want to go above and beyond in my obedience and love to You. Thank You for being worthy of all my praise and glory.
