Read Judges chapter 1

VERSE:

Judges 1:32–The Asherites lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land because they did not drive them out.

TRUTH:

This book begins by discussing the conquest of the promised land by the children of Israel. However, the chapter ends with several of these statements. They did not drive out the evil inhabitants completely. This will later become the source of much temptation and sin for the children of Israel. When we come to Jesus, do we turn over every area of our life to Him? Anything sinful in our life that we don’t drive out completely will come back to trip us up later.

RESPONSE:

Father, I pray You will search the territory of my life and show me sins that I have not driven out completely. I want to be wholly Yours. Keep me focused on You.
