Devotional – Janary 3, 2012

VERSE:
Luke 11:3–Give us each day our daily bread.

TRUTH:
In the era of refrigeration, along with McDonalds and Walmart, it can be difficult to truly comprehend what it means to pray asking for our daily bread. Do we trust in God to provide for us? Or do we trust in our own planning and storing. As we look around today, what would we have if God did not povide for us? We must be careful not to lose sight of God’s provision for us.

RESPONSE:
Lord, please provide for me my daily bread. It is only by Your grace that I am able to take my next breath, let alone my next meal. I will place my trust in You and You alone to provide all my needs.
