Devotional – November 15, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 112:7–He will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

TRUTH:
Do we spend our time worrying about what may come? Are we more focused on the possibilities or problems than on our trust in God? God is there; He is in control. There is nothing that will happen that He doesn’t already know and have the answer to. We can trust in Him and place our heart in His hand. We don’t have to be consumed by worry about the “what if,” we can remember, “no matter what, God.”

RESPONSE:
Lord, no matter what comes today, You are still in control. I will not fear the “what if’s,” but I will wholly rest in You. Help me to let go of my worry and anxiety, and relax in Your steadfast love.
