Book of Revival, Day 32 What are we proclaiming? Read Deuteronomy chapter 32. Every day, our lives proclaim something. The people of Israel were being challenged by Moses to proclaim the Lord and all of the glories that he has given them. When we think about what our life proclaims, what are we proclaiming about the Lord? Do our lives speak to his glory and majesty and power? Do we demonstrate the authority that he has in our lives? Our lives should be a declaration of all that Christ is, because he lives and moves and works in us.

Book of Revival, Day 30 Does it feel too difficult? Read Deuteronomy chapter 30. Moses is coming to the end of this message, we see him reminding the people of all the blessings and cursings and everything that he’s been telling me. Then he makes a decision statement. I can see why because the people were probably starting to feel overwhelmed. The sheer number of commands and certainly felt like a lot. However, Moses is reminding them that they shouldn’t be overwhelmed by all that he has shared, but instead focus on God, and allow Him to work through them.

Book of Revival, Day 29 You are a witness. Read Deuteronomy chapter 29. Moses is reminding the people that they have no excuse. They have been witnesses of everything that God has done for them. They have seen the miracles and they have seen the curses that come down for disobedient. Just the same, we have been witnesses of all the things that God has done in our own life. We have seen how God has moved and brought about miraculous and wonderful things, and we have seen the results of sin and disobedience in our life. We are to share with others what we have seen and experienced so…

Book of Revival, Day 28 The blessings and cursings. Read Deuteronomy chapter 28. As Moses is continuing his final reminders to the people of Israel, he goes through a list of blessings and cursings. The blessings are designed to be reminders of all that God is going to do for his people who follow him and devote themselves to him. The cursings are a reminder of everything that will happen to the people who choose not to follow God. Which will we be receiving? God gives incredible blessing to those people who follow him. That blessing is not always about money, but sometimes it can be about so much more.…

Book of Revival, Day 27 Why is this book considered a book of revival? Read Deuteronomy chapter 27. As Moses is finishing the book e se the reminders of all that God is going to do and not do. This book leads to Revival because it points people back to following God. It reminds them of all that God is and all that we are. We desperately need God. Only by living the life that he has for us will we be able to see the results that he has set up for us.

Book of Revival, Day 26 God chose his people. Read Deuteronomy chapter 26. The people of Israel are frequently referred to in the Old Testament as God’s chosen people. God made his covenant with them and kept his promises to them. As we come into the New Testament, we see that God continues to keep his covenant and his promises to his people. He extends that out to include anyone who has followed Jesus Christ. If we have made the commitment to accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of our life, we are his people. Book of Revival, Day 25 Its OK to enjoy work. Read Deuteronomy chapter 25. So often we hear discussion about the toils of work, and the frustrations of work. We know that we are to work hard when we are working unto the Lord. God deserves our best and he desires that we demonstrate our best in everything that we do. However, that doesn’t mean that we should not enjoy our work. We should be allowed the opportunity to enjoy what we do, when we do it, and while we do it. As Moses continues, he gives the people of Israel several principles that should guide the way in which they interact with their fellow Israelites. Not everyone will have the same amount of material possessions. As a result, those who have more and who are the employers should treat the others with respect and honor. We are to be ethical workers that are full of integrity in everything that we do. We are to treat people as Christ would treat them and be an example of him in every aspect of our work. Book of Revival, Day 23 What have you promised God? Read Deuteronomy chapter 23. People will make promises to God every day. It’s not that uncommon for people to swear to do something for God in the midst of some difficulty or some trial. If only God will bring them through this, then they will do something for God. God remembers and knows what we have committed to him and we are responsible for fulfilling our vows to God. What have we promised to God? What have we left unfulfilled? What do we need to go back and focus on to complete? We are to fulfill our vows to Lord.

While we may think that we are only responsible for the things that belong to us, this verse and this chapter indicate otherwise. We are responsible to take care of the things of the people around us as well. If we see something that isn’t the way it should be, then we are honor-bound to act on it.
