God forgives sin. He knows that we are sinful and in need of a Savior and He offers salvation through Jesus Christ. See what he says in Psalm 103. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.103.12.NASB God then removes our sins from us. Just like east and west never meet again, so our sins are removed completely from us. We do not have to be enslaved by the memory of our sins, God has set us free!

How will the next generation know about God? Only if we tell them. See what the psalmist says in Psalm 102. This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the Lord . Psalms 102:18 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.102.18.NASB The psalmist is encouraging people to write down their witness for God. This way, others who have not yet been born, will be able to read about how God has impacted us and moved in our lives. Do we leave a testimony behind? Would others who studied our life 100 years from now know what we believed and why? Take a look at all…

What we think in our mind and in our heart, God knows. Not only does He know, but He will act on. See Psalm 101. Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure. Psalms 101:5 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.101.5.NASB God know our motivations and He desires that our motivations match His. Not only do we do what God desires that we do, but we are to do it for the same reasons that He does it. Have we checked our motivations lately? Would God be proud of them?

God made us. We didn’t randomly come together from cosmic spare parts. God had a plan and a design. See Psalm 100 Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalms 100:3 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.100.3.NASB Not only did he make us, but he claims us as well. God desires that we love him back, but he makes it clear why he loves us in the first place. He made us. He is our Creator. Do we love Him?

What’s God done in the past? Knowing and understanding how God has responded in the past gives us insight into how He will respond in the future. God’s character doesn’t change. See what the psalmist says in Psalm 99. O Lord our God, You answered them; You were a forgiving God to them, And yet an avenger of their evil deeds. Psalms 99:8 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.99.8.NASB As the psalmist remembers what God has done in the past, he can have hope because God will continue to respond to situations according to His character. Do we know who God is? He hears and answers. He forgives. He gives hope. We can trust…

Many times we ask God for help when we are in trouble. Do we go back and praise him when God brings us through? Read Psalm 98. O sing to the Lord a new song, For He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him. Psalms 98:1 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.98.1.NASB God gains victory. God is the one who wins. Yet, after our prayer for help, do we come back and thank Him for doing all that He did during that time?

Who or what do we serve? When we slip and fall and put something or someone else on the throne of our heart besides God, do we recognize how serious that is and do we repent? See what the psalmist says in Psalm 97. Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images, Who boast themselves of idols; Worship Him, all you gods. Psalms 97:7 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.97.7.NASB Sin is serious and we must see our sin the way that God sees it. When we fall, our sin impacts is and sffects our relationship with God. Do we recognize that impact and seek to rebuild and restore the relationship? Let that…

We are not the only ones to praise God. All of His creation praises Him. See what Psalm 96 says. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; Let the sea roar, and all it contains; Let the field exult, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy Psalms 96:11-12 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.96.11-12.NASB All of God’s creation cries out with joy to praise and glorify the Creator. Do we cry out as well? Do our actions demonstrate our love and joy in the Lord? It’s interesting, but we have to consider that the trees and the fields are better at…

Does joy characterize our attitude toward life? When others look at us do they see God’s joy pouring through our life? Look at the psalmist in chapter 95. O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord , Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. Psalms 95:1-2 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.95.1-2.NASB Everything about this screams joy. The joy of the Lord is in and through everything him. It defines who he is. How would others characterize you. Would joy cone to mind?

Who is our go-to person? Often we all have that person who is the most trusted, reliable, and helpful that we call up first when going through tough times. For the psalmist, that was God. See psalm 94. But the Lord has been my stronghold, And my God the rock of my refuge. Psalms 94:22 NASB https://bible.com/bible/100/psa.94.22.NASB God is the stronghold and the one who is the most trusted. We can always trust that He will do what he says he is going to do. He wants to be the first one that we go to in hard times because He already knows what we are going through. Will we…
