Christian Devotional – December 11, 2010

VERSE:
Genesis 16:2–So Sarai said to Abram, ‘Now behold the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will obtain children through her.’

TRUTH:
They had received God’s promise, but they went about trying to fulfill it on their own. How many times have we jumped ahead of God with our own plans?

RESPONSE:
Lord, thank You for providing everything You promise. Help me to learn to wait and not get ahead of You and Your plan.
