The Weeping Prophet, Day 10

God is God. Read Jeremiah chapter 10.

Throughout this chapter we see God. In seeing God in all of his glory and majesty, we see him compared with idols. The comparison is ludacris because the idols are so worthless. Nothing good can come from them and the idea is that people that put their faith in trust in idols are just as worthless as the idols themselves.

What we understand through seeing the greatness and majesty of God himself is just how incredible he is and how insignificant we truly are when compared with him. God is awesome and amazing. Everything we do is to be a focus on who he is and what he does. There’s absolutely nothing that we could craft with our hands that would come even close to the majesty of God.

Do we recognize his glory? Do we exalt him for who he is?
